This summer sure is flying by and August 1st is getting closer and closer. We will be leaving Toronto at 6pm and arriving in Korea 2 days later. Hi! My friend Lisa and I have applied there, and are supposed to speak with Mr. Cavanagh in the next week or so. Thanks so much for your blog. We have done so much research into schools in both China and Korea, and your blog is great for us. We are both 30-something teachers in Texas (Lisa, my friend, has 11 years of experience and I have been teaching 5 years...both English). We seem to be unlike some the "wierd" people that I have contacted from other schools. I was glad to see some people that actually didn't seem to flee the US for a foreign country to teach due to a lack of friends, etc! :) We want to find a place that is confortable, fun and with people that like to be active, relaxed and who are not 60 years old and rolling around on a Rascal!! jk. Do you have any advice for us? We really like the "look" of the school and the city seems so offer some basics that aren't found in many of the places we are looking into. ReplyDeleteI taught there back in 2000-01. Mrs. Lee and Bob Cavanagh are two of the best people I have met in my sixteen years in education. It is a first rate school in every respect!
